SEOUL, March 31 (Yonhap) -- KT Corp., a major telecom operator in South Korea, on Tuesday appointed Park Yoon-young as its new chief executive officer (CEO), as the company seeks to stabilize its operations following a large-scale data breach and drive new growth.
The company said its shareholders approved the appointment of Park, former president for enterprise business at KT, as its new leader, replacing former CEO Kim Young-shub.
Park is a longtime company veteran who has worked at KT for more than 30 years since joining in 1992.
He has expertise in the business-to-business sector, with deep institutional knowledge and an extensive internal network built over years of service.
